“Embrace the past…..just for a moment”……..
Jill Haglund of TweetyJill Publications new book “Creating Vintage Cards” is a delight to browse through. Each page has a new technique, idea or subject designed and created by well known industry artists, Robin Marie Smith, Amy Wellenstein, Patti Muma, Sarah Northrup, Maggie Crawford, Kristy Jedinak and Jill Haglund.
The cards are lovely and truly have an authentic vintage look and flavor but are created using papers and ephemera that are readily available in today’s market. Supply lists are short and instructions are very good and easy to follow.
The projects are mostly cards but all of the techniques would translate to other projects. I like it that each contributing artist has a style that is their own and are all equally delightful! This will be a book that you will refer to often for ideas and inspiration.
With 128 pages and more than 100 projects; the book is packed full of projects for every taste, occasion and person on your card list!
My list of favorites is too long but to mention a few: Ladies Artists’ Club, ME, Grandpa’s Adventure, Sew Thankful, and Grace Oh darn, I really like them all!
